I closed out my Magical ConFusion 2026 panels with a great discussion on historic and modern astrology and astronomy and when they diverged.
I mentioned a couple of resources that I’d like to share:
The History and Practice of Ancient Astronomy by James Evans (1998) is one of the best nonfiction books I’ve ever read. It seems to be still available but ridiculously expensive. Try your local library!
The other thing I mentioned was a horoscope written in a fifteenth-century style. The footnotes link to a range of resources on medieval astronomy and astrology.
